PostHeaderIcon The Price We Pay for not Supporting Miguel Estrada

With Obama’s nomination of Judge Sonia Sotomayor to the U.S. Supreme Court, Obama has found the perfect combination. He has found a nominee who will be every bit as liberal and activist as he could hope for, and also, he has found someone in which to score tremendous political points.

In a previous column, I have already touched on Sotomayor’s judicial background. However, it is this very background that is being ignored by the main stream media. Instead, we hear stories of “rising up” from poverty and “reaching out” to the community, and, of course, we hear stories of her Hispanic heritage and what an asset that is. All of this fits perfectly into Obama’s plan of reaching out to Hispanics. The fastest growing voting bloc in the entire country is being presented with “their” nominee. What’s so sad from a political point of view is that all of this could have been accomplished with OUR nominee… Miguel Estrada. Read the rest of this entry »

PostHeaderIcon Cheney Shows the Way

Posted By Patrick J. Buchanan - May 26, 2009

Dick Cheney is giving the Republican Party a demonstration of how to fight a popular president. Stake out defensible high ground, do not surrender an inch, then go onto the attack.

The ground on which Cheney has chosen to stand is the most defensible the Republicans have: homeland security. In seven-and-a-half years after 9-11, not one terrorist attack struck our country.

And, unlike Obama’s position, Cheney’s is 100 percent reality based. He was there. He lived through this. He made the decisions to use the harsher techniques on the worst of the enemy who could yield the greatest
intelligence to save American lives. Read the rest of this entry »

PostHeaderIcon Being Liked vs. Being Safe

Barack Obama spoke out on Thursday about the need to close the terrorist detention center at Guantanamo Bay. Facing increasing resistance from Congress, Obama continued his push to bring dangerous terrorists into the U.S. for incarceration and trial.

In trying to make his case, he continued his practice of blaming the previous administration, while at the same time, saying that America needs to look forward not back. As we have seen from previous speeches and comments, Obama is more concerned about making sure America is liked across the globe rather than keeping America safe. Read the rest of this entry »

PostHeaderIcon A Lesson in How Not to Revive the Auto Industry

Posted by Bobby Eberle - May 19, 2009 at 7:43 am

You remember the tough economic times we are in, right? You remember how the American auto industry is struggling, don’t you? Ok, just checking, because Barack Obama seems to have forgotten.

With unemployment at nearly 9 percent and General Motors looking at bankruptcy, what does Obama do? He is set to propose more government control over the auto industry… essentially telling automakers what they can build. The result will be an additional cost of about $1,300 per vehicle. Is this supposed to revive the economy and create jobs? Read the rest of this entry »

Patrick J. Buchanan

Patrick J. Buchanan

By Patrick J. Buchanan - May 14, 2009

By reversing himself and refusing to release graphic photos of abused prisoners of war, Barack Obama has stunned liberals.

They feel betrayed and abandoned by a president they put into office. On war and torture, at least, they thought Barack was one of them. He is not. Barack is not into ideology. He is into Barack.

As he showed in 2008, when he threw his white grandmother under the bus and spared his beloved black pastor, the Rev. Wright, then threw Wright under the bus when his toxicity level rose too high, Barack has all the sentimentality of Michael Corleone when it comes to the family business. PostHeaderIcon And This Guy is a ‘Journalist?’

Posted by Bobby Eberle - May 13, 2009 at 7:44 am

We’re all familiar with how far to the left the media have gone. Once subtle in their attempts to steer viewers toward a liberal agenda, they are now “in your face” about pushing socialism. Anyone who disagrees is a target for personal attacks and character assassination.

Having said all that, Tuesday was one of those days where you have to wonder what’s happening to this country and are there any journalistic standards left at all. In a single day, an MSNBC anchor went off the deep end, not once, not twice, but three different times. This is not journalism; it’s left-wing advocacy. Read the rest of this entry »
