PostHeaderIcon The Price We Pay for not Supporting Miguel Estrada

With Obama’s nomination of Judge Sonia Sotomayor to the U.S. Supreme Court, Obama has found the perfect combination. He has found a nominee who will be every bit as liberal and activist as he could hope for, and also, he has found someone in which to score tremendous political points.

In a previous column, I have already touched on Sotomayor’s judicial background. However, it is this very background that is being ignored by the main stream media. Instead, we hear stories of “rising up” from poverty and “reaching out” to the community, and, of course, we hear stories of her Hispanic heritage and what an asset that is. All of this fits perfectly into Obama’s plan of reaching out to Hispanics. The fastest growing voting bloc in the entire country is being presented with “their” nominee. What’s so sad from a political point of view is that all of this could have been accomplished with OUR nominee… Miguel Estrada. Read the rest of this entry »

PostHeaderIcon Letter from Bud Day

The following article was written by Bud Day, a U.S. Air Force Colonel who was captured in Vietnam and suffered a great deal of torture.  After reading this article, I wondered how our current administration can classify 3 instances of waterboarding as torture. - Ron Heuer

After I returned in 1973, I published 2 books that dealt a lot with “real torture” in Hanoi.  Our make believe president is branding our country as a bunch of torturers when he has no idea what torture is.

As for me..put thru a mock execution because I would not respond…pistol whipped on the head…same event..  Couple of days later…hung by my feet all day.  Read the rest of this entry »

PostHeaderIcon Cheney Shows the Way

Posted By Patrick J. Buchanan - May 26, 2009

Dick Cheney is giving the Republican Party a demonstration of how to fight a popular president. Stake out defensible high ground, do not surrender an inch, then go onto the attack.

The ground on which Cheney has chosen to stand is the most defensible the Republicans have: homeland security. In seven-and-a-half years after 9-11, not one terrorist attack struck our country.

And, unlike Obama’s position, Cheney’s is 100 percent reality based. He was there. He lived through this. He made the decisions to use the harsher techniques on the worst of the enemy who could yield the greatest
intelligence to save American lives. Read the rest of this entry »

PostHeaderIcon Our Taxes at Work!!

John Murtha (D), congressman from Pennsylvania. He’s the guy who said awful things about our troops in Iraq. His Vietnam duty, 1966-67, is highly questioned. After you view the video, you will conclude that politicians like him should be in jail whether they are Democrat or Republican. They are committing grand larceny with our money so they can be elected!

Watch this video.   There is a brief (15 seconds or so) commercial prior to the video.

… Not FOX….  But from ABC news.  Take a look and listen .

My name is George C. Joseph.  I am the sole owner of Sunshine Dodge-Isuzu, a family owned and operated business in Melbourne, Florida. My family bought and paid for this automobile franchise 35 years ago in 1974. I am the second generation to manage this business.

We currently employ 50+ people and before the economic slowdown we employed over 70 local people.  We are active in the community and the local chamber of commerce. We deal with several dozen local vendors on a day to day basis and many more during a month.  All depend on our business for part of their livelihood.  We are financially strong with great respect in the market place and community.  We have strong local presence and stability. PostHeaderIcon Being Liked vs. Being Safe

Posted by Bobby Eberle  - May 22, 2009 at 7:40 am

Barack Obama spoke out on Thursday about the need to close the terrorist detention center at Guantanamo Bay. Facing increasing resistance from Congress, Obama continued his push to bring dangerous terrorists into the U.S. for incarceration and trial.

In trying to make his case, he continued his practice of blaming the previous administration, while at the same time, saying that America needs to look forward not back. As we have seen from previous speeches and comments, Obama is more concerned about making sure America is liked across the globe rather than keeping America safe. Read the rest of this entry »

PostHeaderIcon RNC Meeting is Big Test for Steele

Posted by Bobby Eberle - May 20, 2009 at 7:48 am

Republicans have turned their attention to Maryland this week, as members of the Republican National Committee meet to discuss a number of resolutions and look to get the GOP back on track.

A number of items are on the agenda — from committee members seeking more oversight into how funds are spent to applying the “socialist” label to the Democrats. RNC Chairman Michael Steele, who has been under fire for early public gaffes and private actions since the day he was elected, also faces challenges at the meeting. He is tasked with turning this party around, and he chose his Tuesday speech to begin that effort. Read the rest of this entry »

PostHeaderIcon A Lesson in How Not to Revive the Auto Industry

Posted by Bobby Eberle - May 19, 2009 at 7:43 am

You remember the tough economic times we are in, right? You remember how the American auto industry is struggling, don’t you? Ok, just checking, because Barack Obama seems to have forgotten.

With unemployment at nearly 9 percent and General Motors looking at bankruptcy, what does Obama do? He is set to propose more government control over the auto industry… essentially telling automakers what they can build. The result will be an additional cost of about $1,300 per vehicle. Is this supposed to revive the economy and create jobs? Read the rest of this entry »

This marathon in semantics has had a variety of tactical purposes, depending on who’s got his Sharpie on the dictionary—-by Judson Berger FOXNews.com Monday, May 18, 2009

Global War on Terror is out — “overseas contingency operation” is in.

Democratic Party is out — “Democrat Socialist Party” is in.

Terrorist attack is out — “man-caused disaster” is in.

Since the new administration took office, Washington has been consumed, on both sides of the aisle, by a kind of re-branding madness. This marathon in semantics has had a variety of tactical purposes, depending on who’s got his Sharpie on the dictionary. Read the rest of this entry »
