The Kewaunee County Republican Party represents the conservative values and ideals that have been part of the county since it was established.  The first settlers came to this county in the mid-1800’s to enjoy the opportunity, freedom and liberty they were seeking.  They were self-sufficient, full of common sense and eager to learn. They were willing to contribute their time and efforts to make Kewaunee County a better place to live.  And they did!  

 Today, the GOP of Kewaunee County focuses on continuing those values instilled by their forefathers, and trumpeted by great leaders of the Republican Party like Abraham Lincoln and Ronald Reagan.  

 Ronald Reagan sums it up pretty well by saying; “Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn’t pass it to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same.”  He also said, “No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. Government programs, once launched, never disappear.  Actually, a government bureau is the nearest thing to eternal life we’ll ever see on this earth!”
